Do a
Citizen Service

Become one of our host organizations

The Citizen Service is constantly looking for new host organizations in order to offer young people a wider choice of increasingly diversified missions. If you are interested in the Citizen Service's programme and share our views on youth-related societal challenges, feel free to send us your mission proposal. Read more below about what it means to be a host organization and how to become one.

By submitting a mission proposal, you commit to

  • Welcoming one or several young people aged 18-25 into your organization for a six-month period
  • Providing them with a specific mission to which they will devote 6 months, 28 hours a week, preferably from Monday to Thursday
  • Providing on-the-job training and following up with them for continuous guidance. In order to guarantee that, you will appoint a member of your team to be their tutor. The tutor will supervise, guide and support them in their tasks. They will be the person they can turn to if needed, and the educational team of the Citizen Service Network will make sure to keep in touch with him. All tutors will be required to attend a training session organized by the Network.

The Citizen Service Network commits to

  • Coordinating the young person’s mission, in collaboration with the host organization
  • Running some of the training sessions
  • Organizing times to share and give assessments
  • Paying allowances, expenses and providing insurance coverage to young people undertaking their Citizen Service.
